Should you ever want a change of pace from the beach or pool, there is lots to do in and around Siesta Key and Sarasota.

Have fun exploring funky Siesta Village, just a mile up the beach.  Enjoy breakfast at The Broken Egg, an ice cream cone at Olaf’s or just take a stroll and enjoy the old Florida atmosphere.

For the avid shopper, enjoy treasure hunting galore with a wide range of shops and malls, from consignment thrift shops to high end designer goods and everything in between.

For the sports enthusiast, the onsite tennis and basketball courts are available for your use  free of charge. There are bike and kayak rentals just down the road; 34 golf courses within a short drive, including two TPC courses; and there is fishing, from chartered boat or from the beach, bridge or dock in the lagoon.  During February and March, perhaps take in a spring training baseball game at Ed Smith Stadium or go a little farther afield (no pun intended) to watch the Yankees in Tampa, the Blue Jays in Dunedin or Boston Red Sox in Fort Myers.
